Happy Thanksgiving EVE!
The holidays are here and with them comes holiday movies.
Now I’m not talking about Christmas movies, which are wonderful in and of themselves.I’m talking about all the movies that Hollywood decides to release for the holiday season. And boy are there a ton of really great ones that I am just dying to see. My bank account is going to be in pain by the time January rolls around.
Thank goodness for my AMC Stubs card! Which if you don’t have AMC theatres close to you, it is a program offered by AMC that gives you rewards dollars. Once you have spent $100 at AMC on either tickets or concessions, you get $10 on your Stubs Card to use as you please.Y’all I’m 30 bucks away from $400. Which means I have spent almost $400 at the movies since last October. Yeah, wrap your minds around that. What can I say, I love the movies.
Anyway, this holiday season has promised to basically rock our world with great movies. Here are the ones that I am dying to see.
LincolnI’ve actually already seen this one and it was AMAZING!Daniel Day-Lewis does an phenomenal job portraying Lincoln. It’s actually kind of scary how closely he resembles Lincoln. It was comical in parts, it was intense, and of course it was sad. I can totally see this film doing extremely well when the Oscars roll around.
Anna KareninaI’ve never read the book, but I love Keira Knightly and this is from the same director as Pride and Prejudice and Atonement. Which were two films that I really enjoyed as well.
HitchcockI think this has the potential to be an excellent film. Helen Miran is great and from the looks of it, Anthony Hopkins is going to kick ass as Alfred Hitchcock!
Le MiserablesIf just the trailer gives me chills, I can’t imagine what the whole movie will do to me.
Django UnchainedI’m not a huge Quintin Tarentino fan (I hate the Kill Bill movies) but I did love Inglorious Basterds. And this movie has Leonardo DiCaprio. He is all the reason I need.
There are a couple others I’d like to see but those are my top 5!What holiday movies do y’all want to see in theatres?

Like I mentioned yesterday, it is taking all I’ve got to wait and put up my Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving rather than before.
And let me tell you, it doesn’t help one bit that Disney is all decorated, that some of my friends have decorated, and that there are Christmas commercials flooding the TV now.
Last night I even went on Youtube and watched a bunch of old Christmas commercials. So today I thought I would share some of my favorites!
That last one is my favorite! 🙂
Oh and after tonight my resolve to wait to decorate is going to be even harder to suppress because I’m going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!
Complete with tacky Christmas sweaters.
It is going to be magical!
Have a great Thursday!
Can y’all believe that next week is Thanksgiving?! I can’t! Time is just flying by! Everywhere I turn Christmas is being thrown at me! And it is taking all I’ve got to wait and decorate my apartment next Friday, rather than today.
Luckily I have things to keep me occupied that will help with the decorating urge.
Now on to today’s topic!
Here are some of my favorite pins from the week:
Have a great one y’all!
Like I mentioned a few posts ago I’ve lost some of my Disney magic.
Working at a theme park is exhausting sometimes. Especially when the job you do is customer service.Or Guest Relations as we at Disney call it.
When people go on vacation I’m pretty sure 90% of them leave their brains at home.Which is fine….most of the time.
The thing is, I tend to forget that people save for YEARS to come to Disney. And for most, this will be the one and only time they get to come to the Happiest Place on Earth. So they want this trip to be the best trip ever.
(Still sometimes you want to punch people in the nose)
Anyway, I realized I needed a day to remind myself why I love working for Disney.
I needed a Disney Day!
So my friend Jordan and I had one last Thursday.
Here was our day through Instagram!
1. We had a yummy breakfast at the Kona Cafe which is at the Polynesian hotel.
2. We met tons of Disney Characters (mostly princesses!).
3. We ate lunch at the Be Our Guest Restaurant in the New Fantasyland! (which was a total magical moment!)
4. We went on Dumbo.
5. We got to enjoy Christmas time at Disney!(Christmas decorations were up by Nov 2. Kinda early but I love it anyway!)
Y’all Christmas at Disney is the absolute BEST!(And yes it was cool enough to wear jeans, books, and a sweater in Florida!)
The day was so fun and best of all?!
I’ve got all my Disney Magic Back!
…..to think Modern Family is one of the best TV shows EVER.Last nights episode was hilarious.
…..to be more than a little annoyed with the fact that you are the ONLY one in an apartment of 4 who actually cleans.
…..to wish you had a disposable income.
…..to love the fact that it has not gone above 85 degrees in the last two weeks.
…..to be excited for family vacations that are still 8 months away. Norris family Vacation 2013 in July!
…..to love love LOVE red nail polish.
…..to drink Pumpkin Spice coffee with Pumpkin Spice coffee creamer.
…..to have brownies for dinner.
…..to be more than ready for Christmas.
…..to be excited for all the amazing movies coming our way this holiday season!(Lincoln, Les Miserables, Anna Karenina, Django Unchained)
Hope y’all have a great Thursday!
I’ll be out playing in the Magic Kingdom!
It’s been ages since I’ve linked up with Michelle for Oh, How Pinteresting Wednesday!
Actually, I can’t even remember the last time I was on Pinterest!Shocking, I know!
So ladies, today is the day.
Here are few of my favorite pins from…..this morning. 🙂
Have a great Wednesday! 🙂
Two years ago (yesterday) I started this blog. And while I am not the most consistent of bloggers I have to say I’ve loved having a place to share my thoughts and experiences. It’s always fun to look back on the 278 (now 289) posts I’ve written over the past two years and see how far I’ve come.So since I’ve been MIA for the last month I think I’ll give you a massive life update.I hope to get back into posting everyday during the week. Here we go:
WORKWork is going amazing. Seriously I could not be happier with the direction my work life is going.I am one of Epcot Guest Relations newest Disney Trainers! This is a big deal y’all.Being a Disney Trainer means that my leadership team trusts me enough to teach all the new Guest Relations Cast Members to work in our area. I’m someone that other GR Cast Members can come to with questions, concerns, pretty much anything. It’s an even bigger deal because I am not even officially statused “full time” to Guest Relations.I’m just a TA (meaning I’m on a temporary assignment). But it also means that it’s only a matter of time before I’m officially full time.Because I highly doubt they would make me a Trainer if full time wasn’t somewhere in my future! So keep your fingers crossed for me! 🙂
LIFE IN GENERALLife in general is going ok.
Here are a few highlights.
1. I took a hug break from blogging after my cousin’s wedding at the beginning of October.Just got out of the swing of things. But the wedding was beautiful and so fun!
2. I got a kitten! After I Beau got adopted I was super sad and I knew I needed another pet.But with my work schedule being so inconsistent I knew I needed pet that is a little more independent. So a kitten was PURRFECT. (lol)I am pleased to introduce Sadie.
She has more fun playing in plastic sacks and boxes then with the toys I bought her.
Sadie decided I wasn’t giving her enough attention.
I fell completely in love with her when I saw her at the animal shelter. She curled right up in my lap and started purring. She’s 4 months old, so still a kitten. And she is such a mess. She’s constantly attacking anything that moves, she puts herself in the most inconvenient places, and of course I’m totally obsessed with her.Only drawback?I’m seriously allergic to her.I have to wash my hands all the time and vacuum like every other day.Call me crazy, but I don’t care. I need her and I love her.I’m willing to occasionally be sneezy to have her around.
3. One of the reasons I have to have her around is because of my roommate situation.I know I’ve told y’all about the roommate situation before (you can read it here if you so choose).By no means has the situation gotten bad, I get along just fine with my roommates. But I wouldn’t go so far as to say we’re friends. We never hang out and sometimes days go by before I see any of them.So having Sadie has kept me from being too lonely.
4. Big changes are arriving at Disney and I got to expierence one of them last week. The Magic Kingdom’s new Fantasyland is finally going to have its grand opening on December 6th.And we cast members got to have a preview of the new area. And y’all……IT IS AMAZING!If you are a fan of Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid then you need to get your booty to Disney World sometime after December 6th.Here are a few photos I snapped. Here is the Beast’s Library in Enchanted Tales with Belle.
Prince Eric’s Castle
A couple of my favorite scenes in Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid
I really needed to see this too.I have lost the Disney magic and needed to get it back. And boy did I!I felt like a little girl again. It was so exciting to see some of my favorite movies really and truly brought to life before my eyes.Hopefully I’ll be getting even more of my Disney magic back this Thursday when my friend Jordan and I have a Disney day, complete with breakfast a Disney hotel and all the character meet and greets you could possibly think of!
Well y’all, thats all the major news in my little old life. You’ll be seeing a lot more of me from now on!
Have a great Tuesday!
Oh and HAPPY ELECTION DAY!
