Happy Thanksgiving EVE!
The holidays are here and with them comes holiday movies.
Now I’m not talking about Christmas movies, which are wonderful in and of themselves.I’m talking about all the movies that Hollywood decides to release for the holiday season. And boy are there a ton of really great ones that I am just dying to see. My bank account is going to be in pain by the time January rolls around.
Thank goodness for my AMC Stubs card! Which if you don’t have AMC theatres close to you, it is a program offered by AMC that gives you rewards dollars. Once you have spent $100 at AMC on either tickets or concessions, you get $10 on your Stubs Card to use as you please.Y’all I’m 30 bucks away from $400. Which means I have spent almost $400 at the movies since last October. Yeah, wrap your minds around that. What can I say, I love the movies.
Anyway, this holiday season has promised to basically rock our world with great movies. Here are the ones that I am dying to see.
LincolnI’ve actually already seen this one and it was AMAZING!Daniel Day-Lewis does an phenomenal job portraying Lincoln. It’s actually kind of scary how closely he resembles Lincoln. It was comical in parts, it was intense, and of course it was sad. I can totally see this film doing extremely well when the Oscars roll around.
Anna KareninaI’ve never read the book, but I love Keira Knightly and this is from the same director as Pride and Prejudice and Atonement. Which were two films that I really enjoyed as well.
HitchcockI think this has the potential to be an excellent film. Helen Miran is great and from the looks of it, Anthony Hopkins is going to kick ass as Alfred Hitchcock!
Le MiserablesIf just the trailer gives me chills, I can’t imagine what the whole movie will do to me.
Django UnchainedI’m not a huge Quintin Tarentino fan (I hate the Kill Bill movies) but I did love Inglorious Basterds. And this movie has Leonardo DiCaprio. He is all the reason I need.
There are a couple others I’d like to see but those are my top 5!What holiday movies do y’all want to see in theatres?

Like I mentioned yesterday, it is taking all I’ve got to wait and put up my Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving rather than before.
And let me tell you, it doesn’t help one bit that Disney is all decorated, that some of my friends have decorated, and that there are Christmas commercials flooding the TV now.
Last night I even went on Youtube and watched a bunch of old Christmas commercials. So today I thought I would share some of my favorites!
That last one is my favorite! 🙂
Oh and after tonight my resolve to wait to decorate is going to be even harder to suppress because I’m going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!
Complete with tacky Christmas sweaters.
It is going to be magical!
Have a great Thursday!
Can y’all believe that next week is Thanksgiving?! I can’t! Time is just flying by! Everywhere I turn Christmas is being thrown at me! And it is taking all I’ve got to wait and decorate my apartment next Friday, rather than today.
Luckily I have things to keep me occupied that will help with the decorating urge.
Now on to today’s topic!
Here are some of my favorite pins from the week:
Have a great one y’all!
Like I mentioned a few posts ago I’ve lost some of my Disney magic.
Working at a theme park is exhausting sometimes. Especially when the job you do is customer service.Or Guest Relations as we at Disney call it.
When people go on vacation I’m pretty sure 90% of them leave their brains at home.Which is fine….most of the time.
The thing is, I tend to forget that people save for YEARS to come to Disney. And for most, this will be the one and only time they get to come to the Happiest Place on Earth. So they want this trip to be the best trip ever.
(Still sometimes you want to punch people in the nose)
Anyway, I realized I needed a day to remind myself why I love working for Disney.
I needed a Disney Day!
So my friend Jordan and I had one last Thursday.
Here was our day through Instagram!
1. We had a yummy breakfast at the Kona Cafe which is at the Polynesian hotel.
2. We met tons of Disney Characters (mostly princesses!).
3. We ate lunch at the Be Our Guest Restaurant in the New Fantasyland! (which was a total magical moment!)
4. We went on Dumbo.
5. We got to enjoy Christmas time at Disney!(Christmas decorations were up by Nov 2. Kinda early but I love it anyway!)
Y’all Christmas at Disney is the absolute BEST!(And yes it was cool enough to wear jeans, books, and a sweater in Florida!)
The day was so fun and best of all?!
I’ve got all my Disney Magic Back!
