HAPPY MONDAY FRIENDS!!!!
So the weekend was amazing. Houston decided to be cold and rainy all weekend so it was the perfect excuse to do my all time favorite thing. Stay inside and do absolutely nothing.
Oh except one thing.
This happened this weekend………….
That’s right friends! Yours truly is now the owner of her very own Canon Rebel T5 DSLR camera!!!!!
You may remember it was on my wish list from this post. Well, I started researching cameras, I took a poll on Facebook, and scoured Pinterest all Friday night and Saturday morning. By around 1:00pm on Saturday I knew I wanted to invest in one and I figured why wait!
I want to be a photography pro by the time I head to Europe in July. I want to take the most epic pictures in the world while I’m there because, honestly, I don’t know when I’ll be able to go back. Plus, this will really help with my blogging.
Needless to say, once I got the camera I spent pretty much the entire weekend playing around with it. And I think it’s safe to say this is the best purchase I’ve made in a really long time! 🙂
Here is just a random sampling of what I shot this weekend.
Jenny made this Peanut Butter Cookie Lasagna on Saturday night and it was heavenly. Especially if you love peanut butter. Which I do. So it was delightful. You can find the actual recipe here.
This is Jenny!! Her friend Holly came over and we had a sleep over on Saturday night. Holly did Jenny’s makeup and Jenny let me take about a 100 pictures of her while they were doing it. She’s also gonna be my test subject while I get really good at my camera!
Happy Spring Break! Yours is super early! Hope you enjoy all of the time off and relaxation!Love the new camera and that camera bag is adorable!!

I have a jototes bag and I also have a cheapie camera insert off of etsy that I stuff inside a regular bag. Kelly moore bags are like the creme de la creme but I haven't been able to try one out yet – le sigh!If those were all taken on auto, your camera has really nice auto settings!

Oooh you will LOVE your DSLR! Try and find someone in your area that offers some classes before you go to Europe. It will help you learn it SO much faster!
