Oh Hey Friday!

For a teacher on summer break, basically every day is Friday.  But that doesn’t mean that we still don’t look forward to them. It still means the end of the week and the start of the weekend and who doesn’t love Saturdays and Sundays.

So on this fine Friday I have decided to dedicate my Oh Hey Friday to a little confession session.

Here we go!

[one]  I confess I’m so ready to be out of this house and into the new apartment.  Now that I’m by myself in the house it feels too big and too empty.  All my furniture is going to look much better in the little apartment I’m moving into.  And I know it’s gonna be much cozier!

[two] I confess the amounts of Law & Order and Grey’s Anatomy I’v been watching this week is unhealthy.  If I’m not watching one, I’m watching the other.  And the sad part is I’ve seen all the episodes already at least twice before.  #summerlife

[three] I confess that my friends have the cutest kids EVER.  I went to visit my college bestie earlier in the week and got to see my 2 year old niece and new baby nephew! 🙂  They are so stinkin cute.  Charley is so fun and talkative and Shep is so sweet and chunky and cuddly.  I really wish I lived closer to them so I could see them more often.  Actually now that I think about it, all of my friends have the cutest kids ever.

[four] I confess I am in desperate need of hair cut and color.  I HATE my hair right now.  It’s too long, my roots are far too grown out and I just want to sit in a stylists chair and have my head pampered for 2 hours.  Sadly I think I’m gonna have to wait till just before school starts to get it done.  But it is literally driving me crazy.

[five] I confess that living alone has been great so far, but I’m already lonely.  I think I’ve mentioned this before but I’ve never lived solo.  For like 6 months in like 2013, I felt like I lived alone because I didn’t really know any of my roommates that well, thus why I got Sadie.  But y’all it’s only been two weeks and I’ve gotten lonely a few times.

Have a great Friday friends! Catch ya on Monday! 🙂

Linking up for Oh Hey Friday! 🙂

  2. Oooh that pasta looks DELICIOUS!!!I love your Fry-day photo too hehe. It actually smells like fries/hashbrowns outside of my office at work (I'm down the hall from the cafeteria) so it's even more fitting :)Hope you have a great weekend!

  3. OMG I love that you're a vball coach. I played all through high school and miss that sport so darn much. Also, that recipe looks amazing. Also, Grey's will always be a favorite…I'm too emotionally invested. Also, have a great weekend surrounded by vball 🙂

  4. I was wondering why I couldn't find your blog on Bloglovin' anymore! Hopefully they'll get back to you very soon so you can get everything fixed. I'm so excited that I'm the winner! I can't wait to pick out my very coozie!I'm actually trying out an Erin Condren Planner next year! I used the Emily Ley Daily Simplified Planner last year, but it was too detailed for me, so I decided to change it up (and I'm trying out the weekly Simplified Planner too)! I might be turning into a obsessive planner person!

  6. I've been stalking my tracking numbers this week too. I got my husband's Christmas gift yesterday (while he was at work still thankfully) and I have one of my gifts for myself arriving today, too, and another one on Monday! Have so much fun with your friends this weekend–I'm sure it's gonna be a blast!!

  7. I love the guess the Christmas Carol game that you play with your kids! What a great way to get in the Christmas spirit. And we keep on seeing the previews for The Man In The High Castle, but haven't watched it yet. I think that we'll have to watch it during the Christmas break because everyone seems to really love it! And I'll have to check out the book too!

  8. I'm so incredibly excited for our Blate! I can't believe that it's taken us this long to actually meet up! Congrats on another win for your girls! I coached a few summers in college, and when your kids do well it feels like you accomplished something too. That's so exciting that Go Ahead Tours wants to feature you, and that they sent you an iPod Shuffle for your blog post! It sounds like they were a wonderful company for your trip to Europe, and that they deserved the rave review you gave them!

  9. I honestly don't know how I feel about The Cursed Child. I really wish J.K. Rowling would go the prequel route instead. I would love to read about the original Order of the Phoenix. I really hated the Epilogue at the end of Book 7 so I'm not sure how I feel about a Book 8. I'll still read it though 🙂

  10. i used to go to the movies all the time by myself! haha. no shame. especially when P&P came out because no one wanted to see it 75 times with me. weird.i am intrigued by the 8th book (harry's birthday woo i got it). hopefully it is good. i know a lot of people hated the epilogue at the end of book 7 but i loved it because i'm a sucker for a good epilogue!

  11. So excited about RHOD! I read the biographies on E! and it seemed like there weren't a ton that were actually native Texans. I guess I'll just have to wait and see! Hooray for being done with athletics! I know it's been so tiring for you, so hopefully this will give you the opportunity to enjoy the last little bit of the school year! So excited for the newest HP book too! I need to go and preorder it!

  12. Happy birthday to your niece! No-pril sounds like a good idea–I'm not sure I could do it this month with all of the sales and things getting ready for the next season, but maybe that's a good reason TO do it! haha

  13. You're getting up there with the bridesmaids dresses, like me! It's so much fun to be a part of weddings, and I'm sure the dresses your roommate picks out will be so pretty! I can't wait to hear all about that book conference! I wouldn't want to look anyone in the eyes that's for sure!

  14. It's just crazy all of the rain and flooding that happened this week! I'm thankful that we made it through ok, but I think that everybody in the city knows people that weren't ok. I'm so jealous of your entire week off, but I definitely enjoyed my extra day off on Monday! I can't wait for our blate on Sunday! We're going to have so much fun!

  16. Glad you stayed dried and well, crazy how much flooding Houston got! Hope it dries out for everyone, but yay for getting another impromptu week off. I was so jelly of your trip to Magnolia, definitely adding that to my Texas to-do list once I move down there. And there's an in-and-out there?!?! Yay for blogging pix by the color wall! Can't wait to hear more about what you got from Magnolia Market.

  17. Oh my gosh, DC is one of my favorite places to go–we've started going every summer (plus it's such a short drive for us!). One thing you should do is pre-order tickets to go up the Washington Monument. You have to pay a small convenience fee for what would normally be free tickets but they sell out so quick in the morning (they go on sale the day-of and when we were there they were gone before 9:00 AM!!). It is such a neat experience and you learn all about the history of the monument and get fantastic views of the city! We are definitely doing it again when we go this summer!

  18. Obviously I'm a little behinds not my blog reading. My mom said the neighborhood we used to live in got flooded pretty bad but it's ok now. You will love Me Before You, I just finished the sequel. It was good but not as good as the first. Can't wait to see what you got at the silos!

  19. I know this probably sounds annoying from an old gal…but try to appreciate and enjoy the solitude even though it may feel lonely at times. It is a great opportunity for self-discovery. And there may be a day 15 or 20 years from now when you may find solitude a very rare luxury. Hang in there, you will get used to it!Shelbeehttp://www.shelbeeontheedge.com/on-the-edge-of-the-week-link-up-5-and-tee-shirt-winner/
